Amber Portwood Pants On Fire: Fashion Fail

This installment of fashion fail is aimed at everybody?s favorite mom: Amber Portwood. This time, the troubled Teen Mom star was caught with the least fashionable pants of all?the kind that are on fire. According to TMZ, the troubled mom has allegedly caught herself in a pretty big lie. The rental company that she once rented from now says that she lied about how much money she made in 2010, which actually ruled her out as someone who would be allowed to rent there in the first place.   Apparently, Portwood lived in subsidized housing despite making over $280,000!   That?s enough for her nose to grow and for her designer jeans to become engulfed in flames.   If this is true, shame on you Amber. If not, well, shame on you anyway.

Why Poison Oak Is the F&%*ing Worst [Giz Explains]

My mortal enemy is not a man. Nor is it a beast, a virus, an addiction, or a female secret agent. It's a plant. A stupid, fucking, plant. Poison oak, poison ivy, and/or poison sumac (depending on where you live) is pure, insidious evil. Oh, and it's going to be extra bad this year. More »

Elderly Man Tries to Drill Holes in World War II Artillery Shells, Explodes [WTFriday]

Picking out just the right lamp can be taxing. There are color schemes to consider, general design, and Ikea is a festering hellpit. But word to the wise: if you decide to go the DIY route, don't do it by drilling holes in two WWII-era artillery shells. More »

Google Wallet up and running on T-Mobile Galaxy Nexus

Google Wallet up and running on T-Mobile Galaxy Nexus

Hear that? It's the sound of Google Wallet pennies clinking inside a Galaxy Nexus, despite the fact that we have a T-Mo SIM inserted. It previously only worked with AT&T. Although we downloaded the app from Google Play and got it up and running fine, we haven't actually paid for anything yet -- so let us know if you have any successful transactions!

[Thanks, @mobilehavoc]

MSI GT70 gaming laptop review

Now that Intel's let the cat out of the bag (and into the Ivy), it's high time we took a look at what manufacturers are going to do with those fancy new processors. Behold: The MSI GT70 gaming laptop, one of the first gaming beasts out of the door with Intel's next generation architecture. Living up to its next-gen CES promises, this 17.3-inch behemoth falls squarely in the desktop replacement category, at 8.6 pounds, and packs a new 2.3GHz Core i7-3610QM processor, NVIDIA's latest GeForce GTX 670M chip with 3GB of video memory, 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a fancy RAID 0 dual SSD setup -- all wrapped in one hefty, formidable package. LED headlight replacements - Family Woodworking

I spent the day doing lawn equipment maintenance...changing oil, sharpening blades, & doing paint touch-ups. It's not been staying light quite long enough yet for me to get home and completely finish the mowing, I usually have about 10 passes left to get it all finished in one night. Part of the problem is I need to fix the charging system on my tractor, but also the old head light system is dim at best when the battery is fully charged.

I recently bought some LED strip lighting for our photo booth signage and have more than I'll need. The LED's are encased in silicon (the little white squares) and have a 3M backing tape for mounting the strip. The strip can be cut every 3 LED's to customize the strip to the size you need.

I cut a piece of sheet metal to fit the opening, drilled a hole and added a rubber grommet, then stuck the LED strip to the metal (sorry, didn't get the detail pic of the strip mounted). The original light lens is mounted over the metal to hold it in place.

Here it is lit up, should work well and not need much voltage to run them. As a matter of fact, I have room to add two more strips if need be to really light it up.
