Former Sooner standout Quintor Carter takes charity trip to Africa

The Denver Broncos safety is joining a group of NFL players and celebrities on a two-week charitable trip to the African nations of Uganda and Tanzania to try and lend a hand and bring some attention to people in need.

Carter decided as a high school senior that he wanted to start his own foundation, and he planned a free Thanksgiving dinner for people in need during his time playing at Oklahoma.

Having just completed his rookie season in the NFL, Carter said he never dreamed that he'd be able to help so many people.

He said it's all worth it when someone smiles or cries out of appreciation.
